Kristopher Mecholsky, Ph.D.
I am a Professor of English at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I hold bachelor's degrees in physics and English from the Catholic University of America, an M.A. in Literature and Language from Marymount University, and a doctorate in English from Louisiana State University. As a scholar, I study, teach, and write on crime fiction in all its media forms, especially in terms of adaptation. In particular, I explore how American cultural narratives are propagated through adaptation, interrogating how American identities are formed and transformed globally, particularly through gaps between individual, social, and State definitions of American identity. I also examine and work at the intersection of science and the humanities.
